Frequently Asked Questions

Answers, before you ask

Everything you need to know about booking safe, compassionate transportation. Still curious? Contact us any time.

What areas do you serve?
We serve Delaware County and nearby Philadelphia and Montgomery communities in Pennsylvania, based in Havertown. If you don’t see your town on our service area list, reach out — we may still be able to help.
What types of transportation do you provide?
Non-emergency medical transportation (NEMT) including dialysis, hospital discharge, and routine appointments; assisted ambulatory rides (a wheelchair-accessible van is arriving soon); and McKinney-Vento and out-of-district student transportation. See all services.
How do I book a ride?
Use the Book a Trip page — it takes about a minute and shows an instant estimate. You can also email info@yanescare.com with your pickup, destination, date, and time. We confirm every trip by email before it is final.
How far in advance should I book?
We recommend 24–48 hours’ notice to guarantee your preferred time. For same-day requests, submit the booking form and put URGENT in the notes, or email us with URGENT in the subject line — we monitor requests throughout the day.
How much does a ride cost?
Private-pay ambulatory trips are a $40 base fare plus $3.00 per mile, with a $55 trip minimum. Round trips are double the one-way price. A driver escort or attendant is $25, and companions always ride free. The booking page shows a live estimate before you submit anything.
Do you accept Medicaid or MATP?
Yes — we accept private pay, Medicaid / MATP non-emergency transportation arrangements, and school-district contracts. Tell us your situation when you book and we will walk you through it; qualifying trips may be $0 to you.
Are your drivers qualified and safe?
Yanes Care is RN-founded with clinical safety oversight. Drivers complete Pennsylvania clearances (Acts 34, 151, and 114), are CPR certified and defensive-driving trained, and our lead drivers are ABA-trained to support riders with autism, sensory, or behavioral needs.
Can you accommodate wheelchairs and mobility aids?
Today we offer assisted ambulatory, door-through-door rides and welcome walkers, canes, rollators, and foldable mobility aids. A dedicated lift-equipped wheelchair van is arriving soonjoin the waitlist and we will notify you the moment it launches.
Can a family member or caregiver ride along?
Yes — a companion or caregiver is always welcome, at no charge. Just note the number of passengers when you book so we plan the right vehicle.
What are your hours?
Monday–Friday, 6am–7pm. Saturdays are by appointment and Sundays are closed. After-hours service is available by request — ask when you book.
Do you work with school districts?
Yes. We partner with Pennsylvania school districts for McKinney-Vento and out-of-district student transportation, with cleared, trauma-informed drivers and rapid route deployment for changing placements. See school transportation.
Are service animals welcome?
Always. Trained service animals ride free on every trip, no advance notice required.
